Bridge of Sighs, Oxford
This unusual bridge is thrown not across the river from one bank to another, but across the New College Lane linking together the Old and New Quadrangles of Hertford College. This architectural masterpiece was created in 1913 by Sir Thomas Jackson. Another name of this bridge is the Hertford Bridge.
It has very good location and is close to the Radcliffe Camera. So if you wish to spend some days in the heart of Oxford, stay in nice Oxford hotels and enjoy the vistas.
And the name “Bridge of Sighs” this bridge probably borrowed from famous Venetian bridge of the same name. But who sigh here? Students
? Come and you will know!
